A master double bass, the only one made by the outstanding German luthier Thorsten Theis. Theis is known on the cello market. The presented double bass was made in 2009; seasoned material was used for its construction, the top plate is solid, a solid spruce board. Bottom plate, sides, neck are made of beautiful sycamore.

The Design concept
The form of the instrument has been reduced to the necessary minimum: a body without corners may seem a bit unusual, but the shape highlights the quintessence of the beauty of this instrument, as well as the possibility of removing the neck!

The construction of the double bass allows the transport of the instrument in two parts: the body and the neck separately.
