The top plate is crafted from two-piece spruce with narrow, even grain. The back, ribs, and scroll are made from beautifully flamed maple, giving the instrument both a striking appearance and a rich tonal palette. The gracefully carved scroll adds to the viola’s refined aesthetic.
Finished with a warm amber spirit varnish, the instrument highlights the natural beauty of the wood while enhancing its elegance.
This viola features a stylish rosewood fitting set, a Hamburg-style chinrest, and a Hill-style tailpiece with a white saddle, complemented by two fine tuners on the A and D strings with black and gold screws. The pegs and end button are adorned with white pins and collars, adding a distinctive visual touch. The instrument is equipped with a top-quality Despiau “three-tree” French bridge and strung with D’Addario Kaplan Forza strings, known for their powerful, clean, and resonant tone.
